Inogen OxyGo Battery Replacements, Matched to Your Machine
We offer genuine and quality-tested 8-cell and 16-cell batteries for the Inogen One G3, G4, and G5 models, as well as for every OxyGo concentrator based on the same platforms. Just let us know what model you have and we'll tell you exactly which battery is required.
The Basics
What's Actually Inside an Inogen OxyGo Battery?
The Inogen One and OxyGo concentrators use a removable lithium-ion battery pack which clips onto the back of the device—there's no need for tools or soldering, just like the way you would replace the battery on a cordless drill. Within the pack, the lithium-ion cells are connected to a small battery management circuit which monitors voltage, temperature, and current, causing the pack to disconnect itself if it would overcharge, over-discharge, or short-circuit.
Standard packs contain 8 cells; extended 'double' packs contain 16, giving approximately twice the runtime at approximately twice the weight. Since people on oxygen therapy are often away from an electrical outlet for hours—for example, when walking, attending an appointment or on a flight—battery condition isn't a small consideration: it makes the difference between being mobile for a full day and having to watch the runtime decrease.
Battery Finder
Find Your Battery in Three Questions
You cannot substitute Inogen batteries between the different generations – a G3 battery won't be able to power a G5, and a single battery won't fit in where a double one is designed to clip. Select the concentrator that matches its family as shown below.
Not sure which generation you have? The model name is printed on a label on the underside of your concentrator — or check our full Inogen battery compatibility chart.
Before You Buy
What to Know Before You Order
Confirm it's actually the battery
The appearance of a "Check Battery" message or a flashing indicator doesn't necessarily indicate that the cells have broken down. It's worth excluding the other common causes before making the order, such as a loose or dirty charging contact, a failing AC or DC power supply, or — less frequently — a sieve column that is approaching the end of its own lifespan. Since columns and batteries wear out at different rates and are covered by separate warranties, a problem with the column cannot be solved by fitting a new battery.
A simple check will show that if your concentrator won't switch on at all when you plug it directly into a wall outlet with the battery taken out, the issue is very likely to be with the unit or the power supply, not the battery; and since the Inogen Connect app shows battery health and cylinder life as two separate figures, it's worth looking at them before you make the purchase so that you'll be repairing the component that is actually failing.
Why runtime fades over time
Most Inogen batteries are capable of being charged and discharged every day for about two to three years before their capacity begins to drop noticeably. The most obvious sign is not generally that the battery fails to charge, but rather that the running time gradually decreases, so a unit which originally lasted four hours will now run out after only two hours. This is normal lithium-ion degradation and not a fault, and it is the most common reason why people begin looking for a replacement.
Genuine vs. compatible batteries
Each battery on this page is listed as either a genuine Inogen-branded cell or a quality-tested compatible replacement — check the individual product page if that distinction matters to you. Either way, the pack has to match your concentrator's exact generation to physically clip in and report an accurate runtime reading.
Built-in safety protection
Every pack we carry ships with overcharge protection, over-discharge protection, and short-circuit protection built into its battery management system — the same category of safeguard used in the original equipment. That protects both the cells and your concentrator if something goes wrong mid-charge.
Flying with a replacement battery
Single 8-cell packs (about 92 Wh) fall comfortably under the FAA's unrestricted carry-on lithium battery threshold. Double 16-cell packs sit in a higher watt-hour bracket, where airlines can require advance approval or limit how many you bring. Rules are set by each airline on top of the federal baseline, so confirm before a trip.
Single pack vs. double pack
A single 8-cell pack is lighter and less expensive, and covers most day trips. A double 16-cell pack roughly doubles your runtime at roughly double the clipped-on weight — worth it for travel days, long shifts away from an outlet, or as a margin of safety when a charger isn't close by.

Before You Consider a New Machine
The Real Math on Replacing a Battery
The Inogen One G5 usually has a retail price of about $2,800 to $3,300, and the battery is only one of the components that contributes to this price—it is also the part designed to wear out first. Since the compressor and sieve columns of a well looked after concentrator are generally constructed to last longer than several battery packs, a deteriorating battery is not usually an indication that the entire machine has failed.

Battery Care
5 Habits That Extend Any Replacement Battery's Life
Skip the permanent full charge. Leaving a pack parked at 100% for weeks at a stretch is harder on the cells than the occasional partial cycle.
Don't run it to zero. Recharge before it's fully empty, especially if it's about to sit unused for a while.
Keep it out of the heat. A hot car or direct sun ages a lithium-ion cell faster than almost anything else.
Store spares at half charge. If a spare is going in a drawer for a few months, charge it to roughly 50% first, not 0% or 100%.
Top-ups are fine. Lithium-ion doesn't need a full discharge to "reset" the way older battery chemistries did — plug in whenever it's convenient.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Inogen or OxyGo battery do I need?
It depends on your concentrator's generation: G3 and standard OxyGo use the BA-300, G4 and OxyGo FIT use the BA-400, and G5 and OxyGo NEXT use the BA-500 (single) or 1400-3010-16 (double). Use the finder above or check the model label on the underside of your unit.
Are these genuine Inogen batteries, or compatible replacements?
Each product page states whether the battery is genuine Inogen-branded or a tested compatible replacement. Check the listing before you order if that distinction matters to you.
How long does an Inogen or OxyGo battery last before it needs replacing?
Most packs hold up for about 2 to 3 years of daily use before capacity noticeably drops. Runtime cycles are the best indicator: 300 to 800 charge cycles is typical for lithium-ion.
Can I fly with a replacement Inogen or OxyGo battery?
Single 8-cell packs fall under the FAA's unrestricted carry-on threshold. Double 16-cell packs sit in a higher watt-hour bracket where airlines may require approval or limit quantity. Confirm with your airline before you fly — see our full guide for details.
Is a compatible replacement battery safe to use in my Inogen device?
Compatible replacement batteries are safe to use when they match your device's requirements and include protection features such as overcharge, over-discharge, and short-circuit protection — which every battery on this page includes.
What's the difference between a single and a double battery?
A double pack uses 16 cells instead of 8, giving roughly twice the runtime at roughly twice the weight and cost. Most people carry a single for daily use and reach for a double on longer travel days.
Does OxyGo use the same battery as the Inogen One?
Yes, within each generation. OxyGo and OxyGo FIT share their battery platform with the equivalent Inogen One G3/G4, and OxyGo NEXT shares its platform with the Inogen One G5.
What's the warranty and return policy?
Every battery includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects and a 30-day return window if it isn't the right fit.
